PERSON CENTRED COUNSELLING
We can all face challenges in our lives that can leave us feeling out of balance. Seeking support through counselling can help you to explore your feelings, thoughts and behaviour in a supportive way, it’s an opportunity to talk in a safe and confidential setting, without being judged.
Person Centred Counselling or Talking Therapy, offers an individual the opportunity to engage in a confidential relationship with a professional and qualified counsellor who can offer unconditional positive regard, empathy and congruence to help you come to terms with any negative feelings and allow you to change and develop in your own way.
The counselling sessions are led by you and you are encouraged to bring your own issues to the session. The sessions will be about self-discovery and about finding solutions which are right for you, rather than receiving advice or being directed by the counsellor.
This approach empowers you to find your own solutions and achieve more self-awareness and a more authentic way of being, allowing you to discover your own abilities and autonomy.
"People start to heal the moment they feel heard"

ABOUT ME
I am trained in the Person-Centred approach and I offer a warm, non-judgmental and confidential environment. My aim is to provide a respectful and supportive setting to work with you to find your own insight into problems, thoughts and feelings that you are experiencing.
I am a qualified counsellor, having trained at Glyndwr University. I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and work according to the NCPS’s Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
I have over 15 years’ experience in Human Resources which underpins my counselling work and has enabled me to support people through a range of situations and difficulties.
I can work face to face, online or over the telephone if preferred. I am also able to offer ‘Walk and Talk’ sessions for those who do not feel a counselling room or online would benefit them.
I can also provide single-session therapy, which is a 1 hour 30 minute single session for those who want to focus on a single issue.
If you feel we may be able to work together, please contact me either by email or telephone. I am able to work short term or long term depending on your needs.
